Comparative study of radial structure and tangential structure permanent magnet generator

Under the same technical parameters, the same stator punch, and the same number of pole radians, we can get:

(1)  The voltage regulation rate of the radial structure permanent magnet synchronous generator is smaller than that of the tangential structure permanent magnet generator, and the external characteristics are harder than that of the tangential structure generator.

(2)  The harmonic distortion rate of the radial structure permanent magnet synchronous generator is lower than that of the tangential structure generator.

(3)  From the power angle characteristics, it can be seen that the operating stability of the radial structure permanent magnet synchronous generator is greater than that of the tangential structure generator.

(4)  The magnetic flux leakage of the radial structure permanent magnet synchronous generator is small, and the rotor assembly process is simple.

(5)  However, the air gap magnetic density of the tangential structure generator is higher than that of the radial structure, which can effectively increase the output of the generator and improve the dynamic quality.
